Mar 19, 2023     Fit instrument panel visor trim strip and trimmed top cowling again - (2 hours)       Category: Instrument Panel
Installed padded trim strip on instrument panel visor and did some more trimming of front section of top cowling.

Sep 12, 2022     Battery mount, park brake, brake lines - (4 hours)       Category: Instrument Panel
Fabricated standoff for park brake module to prevent interference with cockpit diagonal tube. Attached all cockpit brake lines temporarily for fit. Mounted battery box for EarthX battery under avionics tray on copilot side. This will allow easy access in case of service and a short distance for battery cable to feed thru firewall to Master solenoid. Still need to fabricate the latching mechanism to insure secure mounting.

Sep 02, 2022     Terminal Blocks - (3 hours)       Category: Instrument Panel
Fabricated mount for power and ground terminal blocks. Installed at Station 3 that will be below baggage compartment floor. All wing lighting, pitot heat and associated ground wires will attach to these blocks. Power wires and one common ground wire will then route forward to instrument panel harness and main grounding terminal block on firewall.

Sep 01, 2022     Lower Forward mount brackets - (4 hours)       Category: Instrument Panel
Completed install of lower, forward support brackets for instrument panel at the lower radio rack. Temp installed terminal block at station 3 just below baggage floor for all power leads from both wings. Positive wires from wings (Nav lights, strobe lights, landing lights, pitot heat ) will terminate at this block. Positive power wires will come out of bottom of block to main/avionics bus. Same for grounds. I will use a terminal block for all ground wires from wings and run one common ground to firewall grounding block.

Aug 24, 2022     Wiring - (2 hours) Category: Instrument Panel
Routed some more wires for panel. Measured for GPS, VHF 2 and TX antenna cables. Ordered same from Shireen in Maryland. Great products.

Aug 23, 2022     Panel Wiring - (5.0 hours)       Category: Instrument Panel
Started plugging wiring harness connectors into remote avionics on tray. Routed wiring down side kick panel areas on both sides to rear of cockpit. Installed G3X, Comm 1, G5 and GNX 375.

Aug 22, 2022     Final Install - (4.5 hours)       Category: Instrument Panel
Marked, drilled and clecoed lower support tray where fire extinguisher will mount. Located and mounted CO detector on avionics tray. Prepped panel for install by tie wrapping wire bundles to secure them for install. Installed panel for final time. Secured overlays onto panel.

May 09, 2022     Instrument panel visor and top boot cowl skin install - (4.5 hours)       Category: Instrument Panel
Temp installed top and top-side boot cowl skins to locate instrument panel. Inserted instrument panel visor under boot cowl skins and stabilized panel in proper orientation before match drilling visor. Match drilled all holes to #40 and clecoed.
