Applied acid etching to all inspection panels and fairings. Rinsed thoroughly with water. Plan to prime and paint white tomorrow. Continued to wire wing lighting and power/ground wires at Station 3 terminal blocks. Ops checked landing lites and nav/strobe lights. All operating normally. Still need to tidy up wiring . Rerouted flap teleflex cables to final location.

Routed and bundled wires, fuel lines and flap control teleflex cables at wing roots to interior. Secured flap teleflex cable to adel clamp on door post. Routed and connected L and R aileron cables thru cockpit pulleys to check for interference with wing root wires and lines. Pinned aileron bellcranks to check centering of control sticks.

Finally able to stretch bottom seat cushion to allow for full velcro attachment. Brut force needed. Used soap solution on bottom frame to help slide. Burned holes in fabric with soldering iron for headrest and slide block attachment. Mounted headrests.

Finished gluing sunbrella fabric to center trim piece ahead of flap lever. Cutout Naugahyde on center console and test fit headset plugs and USB power plug. Installed rubber edging on cockpit trim panels. All interior trim panels are temp installed at this point and will be removed before final assembly. Moved first Flap to our inflatable paint booth to test fit in paint fixture. Holding fixtures are made so you can cleco a part using the tooling holes on the flight controls and tail feathers or you can bolt to the hinges. Ready to prime flight controls.

Cleaned and prepped under -door ABS panels and flap handle cover for paint. Used red scotchbrite pads to scuff and Prrp All to clean . Painted with SEM paint for plastics- Warm Gray is color.

Final fitting and install of side seat plastic trim pieces per the RANS install video. Used 3 washers under mounting bracket to space back far enough to get the .8" dimension to work out. Bundled wires under copilot seat with lacing cord. Sanded air inlet opening to final size on lower cowling.

Mounted both IBBS batteries on avionics tray. Used single ear nutplates to allow for easier removal if needed. Fit all interior panels and carpeting (front carpet is permanently installed). Removed fuselage from rotator. Prepped instrument panel for install.

Riveted nutplates on baggage compartment side panels. Installed rear rudder return pulley and cable from Kit RFK 54 that includes new rear pulley, cable and tunnel cover for rudder cables. Test fitting only.

Cut and glued attach strips to one half of flap handle closeout. Used Oatey General Purpose glue that is made for ABS and PVC.

Located and drilled forward screw holes in center console. Trimmed flap handle closeout and cut out ABS glue strips. Located rudder cable exit holes in rudder cable cover.

Fabricated, drilled and riveted control stick closeout panel reinforcing angles. Trimmed and drilled out seat side closeout panels for attach screws. Used tinnerman and #8 sheet metal screw with large washer instead of plastic screw rivet called for. Much more substantial attachment.

Final match drilling and fitting of forward lower kick panels. Fabricated mounting tabs to secure bottom of kick panel to floorboard. This secures seam between the two panels.These will be covered up by the carpet.
