After months of avoidance, I took a day to drill out the excess lead in the elevators. They are now balanced, per the designer, at the hinge point.

With the tail feathers finish-taped, I attempted to re-assemble the tail, only to find that the gap between the horizontal. stabilizer and elevators is so tight that, having doubled the fabric around the frame, I could no longer fit the pieces together. Lesson learned. I will strip the fabric and re-cover, using a single fold at the gap.

First venture into fabric covering. Using the Air Tech system, put 2 base coats of adhesive on horizontal stabilizer. Rough cut the fabric.
