Sep 03, 2023     Drilled the TW Spring for mounting - (1 hour)       Category: Empennage
Upsized the hole in the tailwheel spring to a 5/16th's first with the drill press, then using a reamer. It is installed using a close tolerance bolt AN175-15. It is now a super tight fit.

Oh yeah, this is a great way to ruin a brand new drill bit

May 20, 2022     Inspection holes/plates - (8 hours)       Category: Empennage
Templates, transfer, cut trim, de-burr, sand, prime, attached the nutplates with Clickbond…. Yes it was quite the process. Then the inner ring was fitted to be flush to the tubing under the fabric. I used a nearly 90* angle to attach the rings to the stringer.
