Jan 11, 2023     Painted the overhead middle section and inspection covers - (2 hours)       Category: Paint / Decals
Repainted the middle overhead section which is metal, also painted the plastic inspection covers. Color as identical but look different due to lighting

Aug 11, 2022     Cargo wall window covering - (1 hour)       Category: Paint / Decals

I have been trying to get my head around the covering/lining of the cargo area sides. I have a plan now, so brought home the outside half of the left window frame to attach the fabric to the frame. I am happy how this turned out, just note it is not shrunk/final fitted so it looks a bit messy at this time.

Jun 09, 2022     Covering Elevators and Trim Tabs - (31.5 hours)       Category: Paint / Decals
After my original diabolical with covering, I got a two day lesson on covering with Oratex. I finished up at home today after 27.5 hours the past two days. I learned when you think you are going slow, like REALLY SLOW….. you are still going too fast. The edges required attaching about 1 inch at a time. I was pretty frightened about rid stitching, but it was not that bad. Everything came out really well.

Jun 07, 2022     Covering tailfeathers - (14 hours)       Category: Paint / Decals
Covering the elevators and trim tabs.

Jun 06, 2022     Covering issues - (18 hours)       Category: Paint / Decals
Had to strip the fabric of of both elevators. The first one (right) was just really poor quality do to me being a beginner, the left elevator was about 95% quality, only problem was one of the hinge brackets was just not aligned properly. Removing the fabric not terrible, just used the heat gun and it came off. The glue was NOT so easy. Oratex glue was near impossible to remove.
