Apr 08, 2020     Gaps - (2.3 hours)       Category: Engine Cowl
Continued to get the intakes of the cowl to match by adding flox micro combot, then lots of sanding. It's slowly coming together. It appears I will need to build up the flanges for the bottom cowl, behind the spinner to have enough material for the screws. I may bond aluminum in the lay up so the nutplates are more solid than in fiberglass alone.

Feb 26, 2020     Oil Door - (2.5 hours)       Category: Engine Cowl
Continued working on the oil door. I knocked down some of the excess epoxy and fiberglass cloth around the foam sandwich. Will coat in micro to smooth next, then seal with clean epoxy.

Feb 22, 2020     Spinner Clearance - (1.8 hours)       Category: Engine Cowl
I almost have the gap between the spinner and the engine cowl at 1/4"" all the way round. Lots of taking this off and adding, then sanding filler. Checked the height of the spinner again and it still looks good. Even with the top of the cowl. If it settles a bit, it will still look great.
