Aug 29, 2023     First Flight!!! - (0.9 hour)       Category: Testing
It finally happened! First Flight Today at KFLY. I was joined by Tony Brotherton, my Qualified Pilot, under the Additional Pilot Program. He was a huge help and support. So glad Tony joined me. Many thanks to family and friends that have helped and encouraged me along this journey. All went very well and can't wait to go again. Yeehaw!

First Taxi Test! It was a bit windy, and I have ZERO TW time. In spite of this, Tracey was anxious to join me in the plane for a taxi test! Great to have her company. This was the second engine start and it fired soon, but needed to "clear out" for a minute. We got going a few feet and I tested the brakes. Was only going to taxi down to the end of our row and then return. Nope! Too much fun and CHTs were okay. Continued to back taxi 08, then north to the fuel pumps. Easy place to turn around. Everything went well and no damage. Was really concentrating on those pedals and keeping the nose straight! Fun to have Tracey there for it all!
