Jan 18, 2022     Sticks Wiring - (1.7 hours)       Category: Wiring
Getting close to being finished with the wiring for the stick grips. Did some more soldering to conjoin some wires. Pinned the needed ones and inserted them into J1 and J2 connectors on the VPX Pro. Still need to finish securing the bundles and assembling the plugs. Will test everything first, though.

Dec 01, 2021     Firewall Forward - (7.5 hours)       Category: Wiring
Well...I'm about to call the FWF portion of wiring and hoses complete! My goodness, it's a real mind exercise finding routes and attach points for everything and not letting anything touch each other. Pretty pleased how this ended up.

Oct 23, 2021     Spark Plug Wiring - (3.2 hours)       Category: Wiring
Beginning to find the best routes for spark plug wires to run from the PMags. There are now a LOT of items getting in the way, especially at the back of the engine. I'm using 8mm wire loom clips from Jegs to keep things tidy. Also. got the SCAT tubes final installed for the cabin heat.

Apr 18, 2021     Key Switch and Floors - (4.3 hours)       Category: Wiring
Made a big step today geting some of the wiring installed that will allow the aircraft to run electrical power from its systems, rather than the power supply I've been using. Got a diode soldered onto the starter contactor wire, then ran P-Leads for both sides, ground for the PMags, wires from the ignition switch to VPX, and from the switch to the PMags. When able, I will hook up the battery and I should be able to hit the Master Switch on the poanel, get power to all systems, then if I turn the key, should hear the starter contactor switch. Of course, I'll have the starte disconnected until ready for first engine start. Tracey added more zip tie bases to the flooring and tidied everything up. She does great work!

Mar 30, 2021     Voltage Regulator - (1.5 hours)       Category: Wiring
Wired the B&C External Voltage Regulator. Running the 60 Amp version. Intergrates partially to the VPX, so additional thinking required. Pretty easy task overall.

Mar 25, 2021     FWF Wiring cleanup - (3 hours)       Category: Wiring
Continued to install wires in FWF. Starting to "clean up" the runs with lots of high-temp zip ties (blue). Looks way better. Also, continuing on with more of the white adel clamps. Really, no fun trying to get these clamped and harware installed. They do a great job, though.

Feb 28, 2021     Firewall Forward - (4.5 hours)       Category: Wiring
Finally made some pretty good progress with the FWF wiring. Tracey was kind to help again today. Between the two of us, we were able to get my routed bundles gathered and tidied up some. Made some of the larger #2 cables for battery, and #6 for alternator and VPX Pro. Plenty of Adel clamps holding things in place. I have some hope again after this session concluded. Thanks, Tracey!!!
