Mar 21, 2021     Spacing - (3.2 hours)       Category: Oil Cooler
Spent a fair amount of time getting the spacing dialed in between the remote oiler cooler duct and the number 3 cylinder baffling. There will be a piece of weatherstripping that completes the floating seal. Needed to get this done before sending parts out for powdercoat. Notice the duct...more carbon. Replaced the fiberglass stock version.

Jul 27, 2020     Oil Cooler Shutter - (2.5 hours)       Category: Oil Cooler
I took the time to rivet the doubler to the #3 baffle. I decided to use 426 flush rivets on the aft side where the seal lives. Trying to keep a flat surface for the gasket. Was able to put all back together and give it a try. A little cleanup remains on the door clearance, but all works well. Just need to run the control cable and this will be complete for intial installation.

Jun 16, 2020     Remote Oil Cooler Mount - (3.5 hours)       Category: Oil Cooler
Continued to mount the Showplanes Remote Oil Cooler Mount. Tough access to get some of the hardware installed. Continuing to cut the fiberglass plenum to have 3/16"" clearance from the baffles. This will be bridged by a rubber gasket later.
