Aligned and drilled wing gap seals. Notched rear of fairing a to clear weld on fuselage which then lets the fairing sit flush with fuselage tubing. Enlarged holes to #19 and debarred. Decided to order tubing for engine mount and fabricated by ourselves. Quotes to build and engine mount were $3000.

Aligned flaps and ailerons with wingtip. Clamped in place. Fabricated left wing gap seal using 0.020 aluminum but decided it's to thin and flimsy. Will remake with 0.040 and adjust size to better fit plane. Reviewed plans and install for wing root gap seal. Decided to not use most forward hole for securing as this would drill thru front spar. Will move hole back behind spar into wing rib.

Looked at S21 firewall and the figures are different. Will use S21 figures and parts drawings as this is what matches our firewall.

Installed bottom boot cowl and placed closed cell foam in place for sound dampening. Glued rubber edging to floorboard. Installed door attachments.

Drilled boot cowl to firewall at top and side skins.
Installed door latch. Doesn't work correctly as the latch moves forward it hits the stop and the nut holding the know contacts the fuselage tube. After researching the issue there was a revision to the drawings since our kit was shipped. It moves the latch stop up a half inch.

Started installation of door locking mechanism. Realigned top boot cowl. Instrument panel has a slight bow even prior to boot skin install. Adjusted boot cowl for equal spacing left to right. Clamped in place. Ready to drill to firewall.

Drilled right skin stiffeners to skin. Marked stiffeners for 2 inch rivet spacing between tabs and drilled to skin. Trimmed forward edge of floorboard flanges to clear floor stiffeners. Filed instrument sub panel at tab locations to clear welds allowing panel to sit flush on tabs. Reposition fuselage in shop for better access to boot cowl.

Drilled firewall to fuselage tabs. Aligned bottom boot cowl skin to fuselage. Needed to open up hole around nose gear fitting to shift skin laterally in order to center on fuse. Ready to drill.
