May 31, 2019     WORKSHOP Big Worktable and tools - (0.5 hour)       Category: Workshop
I bought a big worktable (3.5 m long) mounted on wheels with the possibility to extend section to have additional surface. very heavy object, but very sturdy and with a little modification i added some storage area underneath the table.
Very happy with the investment.
Acquired a pretty expensive Drilling/Milling machinel (OptimumMaschinen), but again very happy with the tool.
I also bought a bench grinder (Makita), a band saw and a belt sander (again from Makita). The band saw is actually and overkill and i will look for a smaller model with the vertical band saw.
Very happy with the vertical tank compressor too.

Jan 01, 2019     WORKSHOP room setup, lights and heating system - (4 hours)       Category: Workshop
The garage I used for our Recreational Vehicle has been transformed into a Workshop for the build of an RV-Plane (RV-10).
I had to contract a builder to raise a separation wall to the rest of the garage, to install a laminated floor with underlying electrical heating and to install appropriate insulation and lighting.
The end result is more than satisfactory, even if the room is relatively small (7meters long and 3,5 meters wide) it should be possible to mount all the major parts, including the fuselage.
Final assembly will be done at the airport.
