Feb 12, 2024     Garmin GTX35R Support Tray - (1 hour) Category: Avionics
riveted the tray to the fuselage stiffeners

Feb 11, 2024     Static Air Line - (2 hours)       Category: Avionics
Removed the transponder tray. Installed lighting hole protections. installed the tie wrap using two components glue. Installed the tie wrap support for the AWG2 wire.

Jan 24, 2024     Static Air Line - (2 hours) Category: Avionics
Installed the static line. Defined position for line holders. Created small bracket to hold the Tee.

Jan 13, 2024     Garmin GTX35R Support Tray - (2 hours)       Category: Avionics
Priming and painting RAL7016 of all the parts. Riveting nuts to the plate. Riveted the angle brackets to the plate.
preliminary installation to check for interferences.

Dec 24, 2023     Garmin GTX35R Support Tray - (2 hours) Category: Avionics
Disassembled the tray, countersunk the tray bottom for 3/32 flush rivets holding the angles to be riveted to the channels. Removed two parts interfering with the tray support angles rivets. Countersunk the plate (fuselage side) for the tray angles 3/32 rivets.

Dec 20, 2023     Garmin GTX35R Remote transponder - (4 hours) Category: Avionics
Lucio prepared the remote transponder support using two aluminum angles a 0.036 aluminum plate and 4 little angles. Looks very sturdy and precise. Priming and final assembly pending

Nov 23, 2023     Measurements for Harness (Northair) - (4 hours) Category: Avionics
Detailed measurements for the Harness (G3X and all electrical devices) done by Northair Avionics.
Delivered to Northair Avionics the Upper Front Fuselage assembly so that they can work on the sub panel layout.

May 17, 2023     mock of panel and sub panel - (1 hour)       Category: Avionics
different preliminary layouts.
Decided to avoid Litium Polimers back up batteries (only for the G5).
Decided to have remote adsb in/our ransponder and remote radio in the battery compartment. Shorter distance to antennas is also an advantage
Voltage regulators for both alternators will be mounted on back panel. No need to put them on the firewall cabin side

May 02, 2023     layout and mock up for LRU's - (3 hours)       Category: Avionics
cut mock up of the different LRU's out of styrofoam. Tentative layout of instrument panel including two analog instruments (winter 57MM).
Need to cut the sub panel to allow for the gn255 connectors. Possible use of remote transponder GTR45R (position in the back of the fuselage (battery area).

Sep 10, 2021     Load Analysis V.10 - (8 hours)       Category: Avionics
Based on the initial Avionics scheme i collected the available information around power loads and i simulated the different power loads (max and normal) for the different phases of the flight.
Then i distributed the loads on the different "busses":
Battery with the minimal equipment (G5, 1 COM/GPS/NAV, Transponder, Flaps and trims and basic lights.
ALT2 will be on standby and its regulator activate the backup alternator if it detects issues on the main alternator (under voltage). The Backup alternator mounted on the vacuum pump drive will provide 40 AMP

Sep 01, 2021     Avionics Inventory and preliminary layout - (8 hours)       Category: Avionics
Decision taken to install full Garmin suite. Autopilot servos (GSA28) for pitch and roll already purchased together with heated pitot with AOA sensor (GAP26)
Intention to install two flight display G3X 10,6" (GDU460) with one ADHARS (GSU25) and GMU11 Magnetometer, Engine Monitor System (GEA24 with 6 cyl lycoming kit) and G5 HSI Display with built in ADHARS as backup.
I plan to install two certified COM/NAV, Certfified GPS and ADSB IN/OUT transponder. I am currently considering to installa one GTN650XI (GPS, COM NAV) with one GNC255 (COM/NAV) and remote transponder (GTX45R). As a possible alternative 2 GNC255 COM/NAV and the GTX345 or GTX374 Transponder/GPS.
In addition I plan to install the autopilot panel (GMC305 or GMC507), the GMA245 Audiopanel and the GAD27 interface (Trim, flap controller) and the GAD29 ARINC if necessary.
Logical scheme of the two systems are depicted in the attached slides. The schemes includes for reference the autopilot servos (GSA28) , trim servos (Ray Allen), flap actuator and additional devices like internal lights, cooling fans, ELT panel, USB ports, CO Detector and Oxygen System. These will be detailed together with all the other power appliances in separate charts
