Finished installing the nose wheel

Finished installing the nose wheel. Clecoed the fwd skin to the panel mount and drilled (carefully!) to #30 and cleaned. Drilled the skin for the avionics fan. Our Lycoming IO-233 engine came - it looks even better in person!

Joined tail cone to center fuselage and clecoed

Joined tail cone to center fuselage and clecoed. Moved fuselage off the tables and onto sawhorses so we could get underneath. Drilled out all remaining holes. Pulled sections apart and cleaned/primed as needed. Clecoed together and started riveting. Installed bolts in the bellcrank and forward/aft push-pull rods.

Mounted trim tab servo motor

Mounted trim tab servo motor. Hooked up to a 12V power source and moved full up and down. Left it centered.

Vents & Static ports

Drilled, sealed and riveted the plastic vent scoops to the forward skins. Drilled and riveted the static ports to the tailcone skins.

Clecoed all pieces back on

Clecoed all pieces back on. Riveted longerons to center fuselage. Riveted upper weldment to firewall. Riveted forward gusset. Riveted inspection rings and nutplates to forward skins.

Assembled and bolted the control sticks. We were missing one of the AN4-20 bolts. RANS to send a replacement.

Belly Skin

Riveted forward belly skin except for rivets that would catch the side or cowling straps. Installed the rudder cable pulleys and attached cables to rudder pedals
